FLYPAGE UPDATER: A Powerful Yet Simple Way To Update Your Web Pages
1. Do I need to know HTML to input new content?
Knowledge of HTML is NOT NEEDED to be a FlyPage Updater ™. All you have to do is fill in the blanks that appear on the FlyPage Edit Screen on your browser. The developer will have strategically designed your site with FlyPage Tags™ making updating a breeze.

2. What protects my pages from someone not authorized to make changes?
The FlyPage Editor is password protected limiting access to your system. You can assign passwords to different people in your organization thus permitting them access to only the specific pages you choose. You can also grant multiple people access to the same FlyPage™ in your site.

3. Am I limited to how many pages can be FlyPages™?
Absolutely not. It is totally up to the developer who designs you site. It is very easy to turn a static page into a FlyPage by simply adding the FlyPage Tags™ and setting up that page in the configuration file.

4. Can I do this myself or do I send you the information for my Web Site?
The FlyPage™ system was designed so that anyone with a working knowledge of HTML can incorporate it into their site. We have full online documentation to help you through the process and have 30 day phone support if you need to ask one of our tech support people for assistance.

5.What can I change on my page ?
This is the most powerful feature of FlyPage™. You can setup any single element on your page to become a FlyPage™. It can be as specific as the background color of the web page or as open as section on the page. Please look at our demo to fully understand the tagging process.

6. How often can I make changes?
Changes can be made as often as you need them. That is why we developed the program as changes should be made as soon as the new information becomes available. For example, if you are posting the scores of your Restaurants Softball Team, as soon as the game is over you can jump on to any web browser in the world, enter in your password and just type in the score and it will be updated instantly.

7. Does FlyPage™ work on all Web browsers?
YES.

8. Who sets up the system on my server?
That responsibility falls on your developers shoulders. The FlyPage™ system requires that you install a single Perl Script into your web account. A few minor file paths need to be modified inside the script to match how your server and files are set up. You then need to add in the FlyPage Tags™ on your web pages and build up a FlyPage Configuration File that controls the functions. It should take you no longer than an hour or so.

9. Does it work on all servers?
The only requirement is that your Web Hosting Company gives you access to a cgi-bin to run your own scripts. The program is written in Perl so the server must have perl access (almost every server does).

10.What if I am using Microsoft Front Page?

Microsoft Front Page is a proprietary system. Most installations of Front Page DO NOT allow you access to a cgi-bin to install your own scripts. If this is the case then FlyPage™ wont work, if you Front Page Account grants you access to a cgi-bin and has perl then the answer is yes it will work with Front Page. Ask your Web Hosting Company if their Front Page Server Account gives you access to your own Cgi-bin.

11. Can I use Flypage on more than one of my sites?
FlyPage is licensed to a specific Domain account. So you will need to purchase a license for each domain that FlyPage™ is installed in. We do offer sizable discounts for multiple domain sites. We understand that a developer usually build and manage many sites and we have structured our pricing to benefit them.

12. What happens if one of my staff members who is responsible for updating one of my FlyPages™ screws up?
We built FlyPage™ to be 100% fool proof. If a mistake is made the FlyPage™ content editor can go back in and just reenter in the information. And they can always just click on the RESET TO ORIGINAL button to restore the page to the very original design that your developer created and then start the edit process all over again.

13. Can I use HTML in the information that I type in to update my FlyPage™ ?
Absolutely. This is a very powerful and time saving feature of FlyPage™. This option is for the experienced web developer to be able to go in to any FlyPage and really dress it up quickly and effortlessly. Now a developer can update the total look and feel to a site by using FlyPage™ instead of FTPing down the file, bringing it up in an HTML editor program, making changes, saving the file, FTPing it back up to the server.

14. Can I retro fit an already built site with FlyPage™ or do I have to start over from scratch?
It is extremely easy to turn your static page into a FlyPage™. After installing the program onto your server, modifying the configuration file all you need to do is put FlyPage Tags™ around the elements on your pages that you want to be able to update.

15. My original developer is no longer available, how can I get FlyPage incorporated into my site?
Our company Web Marketing Services, Inc. can do the entire job for you. Our standard rate is $100 for each page turned into a FlyPage™. Contact us at 937-256-0357 to discuss your needs.

16. Can I change passwords and access to my site if I change responsibilities or an employee leaves?
Yes and it is very easy. The FlyPage™ Configuration File is where all the settings for your site are located. All you have to do is bring this file up in a word processing file and change the user names and passwords associated to a specific FlyPage™. Then just save the file and replace it back on the server.

17. Can I download a trial program so I can test it on my site?
Sorry but we do not have provisions for a test period. What we did is build an in depth demo here on line so you can see exactly how everything works. This way you will see exactly how the system operates in a real live web site.
